IT'S A CALSSIC: PAZEN
Pazen is a type of cotton flannel fabric that is used traditionally in Anatolia.
While it is now perceived as a nostalgic fabric with its outstanding colors and psychedelic patterns it is actually a hidden treasure for us to rework the fabric with contemporary designs.
From bright orange to deep blue, pazen cushions liven up the modern looking rooms with an ethnic touch.
DENIZLI: A WORLD FAMOUS FOR TEXTILE PRODUCTION
Denizli is a pioneer city of production and exports. The city is a fortress of textiles with a weaving culture dates back to the 4th century in the city.
Today, it is the world wide known production and trade center of towel, bathrobe and home textile market. From traditional crafts to local songs and delicious foods, Denizli has many living treasures.
Fun-Fact: Those traditional weaving products are used in Hollywood movies, various TV series, events and organizations. Did you know that even the towel wedding invitations for the dream wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton were weaved here?
Melis' 83-year-old grandfather Nazmi is the creator behind our colorful hand-crafted cushions.
Nazmi started tailoring when he was a teenager and he was still very eager to be a part of our Anatolian revival project when we asked for a little help with the cushions.
It is lovely to see he is doing what he loves!
